JIG is looking to recruit a home-based, but travel-keen technical specialist, to fulfil a new role as Assistant Technical Manager, to support our rapidly growing activities and membership.
Who we’re looking for and why apply for this role?
Due to this being such a unique position, we are not expecting anyone to have experienced anything like this role before, therefore here are some ideas on who may be relevant to apply:
Whatever your background, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to act in an ambassadorial role representing not only JIG but the industry as a whole, and will bring with you the ability to present excellent written material such as technical documents/reports, etc.
This role is very unique, so here is a little bit more about what’s involved…
You will develop your aviation-fuel industry network considerably, getting to know most, if not all of the important international contributors and specialists across aviation fuel companies, airlines, airports and equipment manufacturers. You will attend many forums, meetings, conferences and workshops as well as training sessions around the world, helping to update or set new industry standards for the ultimate safety of every person that travels by plane. You will be a focal point for JIG Member inquiries on various technical issues as well as developing close working relationships with manufacturers of aviation fuel equipment to ensure JIG Standards accurately reflect their use and understanding of emerging technologies and techniques.
