JIG examines current issues through its committees, which are open to all members and serve as forums on trade-specific subjects.

Export Process Committee
Examines current U.S. export policies and regulations, and their effects on U.S. businesses.
Chair: Geoffrey Powell, NCBFAA

Import and Informed Compliance Committee
Monitors regulations that affect import processing, and assists companies in developing adequate reasonable care and trade compliance procedures. Also includes duty drawback.
Co-Chair: Carol Fuchs, Tyco International
Co-Chair: Terry Polino, Hogan & Hartson

International Agreements Committee
Focuses on global and regional trade organizations and agreements, including the WTO, the WCO, APEC, and the FTAA.
Chair: Jay Eizenstat, Miller and Chevalier

Legislative Committee
Works with Congress to develop legislation that faciliates the import and export processes.
Chair: Jon Gold, National Retail Federation

Supply Chain Security Committee
Addresses issues relevant to the secure movement of cargo and commerce across international borders.

Steering Committee
Oversees JIG general policy and operations.
